The polish on my fingernails seem to always resemble the shapes of various continents, probably because my hands spend most of their time traveling across the sea of information we know – and love – as the world wide web. I am not the social butterfly I thought I would spread my wings to be, it turns out I’m a total homebody. Instead of going out and getting drinks with friends like I thought I would be, I spend most of my free time curled up on the couch with a good mystery-thriller, or binge watching a Netflix series with a glass of wine in my hand and a platter of bread and cheese on the table.

Most days you can find me in my office.

I’ll be in my pajamas, with a dog at my feet (and it’s not usually my own), sipping one too many cups of coffee. I’m finally beginning to understand why my grandmother didn’t want to do anything until she had had her cup of morning joe. If I’m not working on my latest project, I’m most definitely geeking out on some PC gaming. #girlnerd

Other times I’ll be at the park.

Likely with a good handful of happy dogs attached to their leashes in my hand and a tall, dark, handsome man by my side named Alejandro with a handful of his own. I’ll still have that coffee in my free hand when I’m not snapping away taking photos of playful pooches to show off on our company Facebook page.

I don’t have it all – yet.

I’m in my late twenties, which is turning out to be way less glamorous than one would have thought. By now, I had planned to have it all figured out. I’d be a successful career woman, a mother, a homeowner. But things don’t always go as planned and instead I find that I am an entrepreneur, struggling a bit to find my passion, a dog mom, and a renter – who’s only able to live in a home in the North Bay because of her generous mama-in-law.

But I love what I got.

I have been able to put a check mark next to marrying my best friend – something I have always wanted to be able to do. And, together we have grown an amazing dog boarding company from home. I have amazing set of friends and an even more amazing family.
